Career Development Plan
One thing I love about teaching is that the list of ways I can improve is a mile long. It truly never gets boring. But because the work of a teacher has so many dimensions, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. But, in order to get a possible paths toward self-improvement as a teacher, I will continue to do as following:
-
Strengthen My Technology Skills
With the technology growth, I should know how to handle with the technology, and I think I’ve done more than a half. Within this course, I’ve learned a lot in improving my teaching skills using technology that I can practice during my teaching and learning process.
-
Brush up on My Pedagogy
No matter how long I have been teaching, there’s always room for pedagogical improvement. Add some new teaching strategies to what I’m currently doing, learn more about learning and improve the way I differentiate instruction.
-
Improve My Classroom Management
Do a classroom management book study or do some online research in Classroom Management:
-
Adjust my Mindset
One of the most significant improvements that I can make to my teaching is changing the way I think about it. Mindset has a powerful impact on how I experience my work and whether or not I continue to grow and thrive. I should read a teacher mindset book, create a support group with other teachers who want to make the same kinds of changes in their own mindset and build mindfulness practice into a regular routine, which will help me reduce stress, feel more purposeful, and actually become more productive.
-
Freshen up My Presentations
I should not rely on white board or PowerPoint presentations only, but practice my teaching skills using teacher’s kit, and varied my presentations.
-
Get Myself Organized
Organize my time, my digital files, projects and the most important thing get my classroom in order.
-
My Future Goal
I believe that teachers individually and collectively have the ability to not only change the world, but to improve it. Within the process of teaching, I hope to find both personal and professional renewal. I want to be a part of a noble profession with the hope of one day being counted among those in whom future teachers find inspiration.
